Pictures were processed eight, twelve and even twenty pictures per sheet. The colorist would apply the coloring to all of the pictures before they were cut and mounted on a mat.

The sheet above was originally an 11" x 14" sheet; four rows of five 2" x 3" miniatures. You can see evidence of blue coloring where the top row was colored and cut from the sheet leaving fifteen miniatures.
