Tea In Yorktown Parlor - Studio # 9406

This photograph was made inside the Webb House, Wethersfield, Connecticut, one of five old houses that Wallace Nutting owned and furnished with antiques for his picture business.

Several variations of this picture exist with slightly different titles. I'll try to seperate them here. Wallace Nutting illustrated two VERY similar pictures with the title "The Yorktown Parlor" in each of his editions of Connecticut Beautiful. On pg 148 of the first edition, the center model is standing, facing left. (This picture is actually Birthday Flowers, #9405.) On pg 131 of the second edition the center model is seated, facing right. (A very close resemblance to this picture but, not exact).

Other picture made at the Webb House include:
Birthday Flowers, #9405 Caught Unawares, #9407
A Picture Library, #9438 Doughnut Day, #9440
A Stately Tea Pouring, #9441 Wig Wag Churning, #9445
Hospitality Hall, 9463 A Grandmother's Highboy, #9471
A Sheffield Heirloom, #9472 A Thrilling Romance, #9477
