This picture was made inside the Wentworth-Gardner House, Portsmouth, NH.
One of five old houses Wallace Nutting owned and furnished with antiques
for his picture business.
An almost identical picture is illustrated in his book, New Hampshire
Beautiful, with the title "Issuing the Invitations" on pg 80 of the first
edition and on pg 82 of the second edition. (Note that in this picture
the models switched positions.) A similar picture taken in the same room
is "Feminine Finery, #9023".
