"The New Cape Bonnet" is one of several photographs Wallace Nutting made in this Quincy, Massachusetts homestead circa 1915. This photograph is illustrated on page 569 of Nutting's 1915 Expansible Sales Catalog.

A companion photograph, "A Fine Affect" studio # 2367 shows the model seated in the center of the picture holding a hand held mirror to view a bonnet on her head.

A third photograph in this series, "The Last Word In Bonnets" studio # 2363 shows more of the right side of this bed chamber and the model is seated to the extreme right examining a bonnet she is holding.
