The Spinet Corner - Studio # 1389

This picture was made 1912/13 inside Wallace Nutting's House, "Nuttingholm" in Framingham, MA. The spinet was made by Jocobus Kirkman in London in 1748. Wallace Nutting wrote: "The spinet is an excellent ancient type... The true piano is very much later. The spinet was made to be lifted from its legs, to which it was not attached."

This picture was advertised for sale in the Nutting Studio 1915 Expansible Catalog on pg 478. The model is Helen Goss Stackhouse
