This is a very unusual photograph of a man, woman and young lady canoeing on Lake Sunapee in New Hampshire. Wallace Nutting illustrated this picture in his book, New Hampshire Beautiful on page 120 of the first edition and on page 110 of the second edition with the title "Canoeing On Sunapee".

A reverse negative of this scene was made with the title, "The Landing".
