Scene of the port of Amalfi, Italy as seen from a mountain side pergola. Wallace Nutting advertised this picture in his 1912 picture catalog on pg 77 and on pg 606 of his 1915 Expansible catalog.

Other artist who have photographed this pergola had a person pose as a monk in the foreground. Wallace Nutting "...paid him to remove himself because he is no real monk and the scene requires dignity without personality."
