This photograph was made inside the Paddock Mansion in St. Johnsbury, Vermont. A residence that Nutting called a notable mansion. The man in the photo is 'Uncle Sam' Young and the lady is Mrs. Taylor who posed for Nutting on several occasions.
Nutting wrote of this photograph; "In 'Sunday Afternoon' is found a typical scene of the old people in the old home. The man in this picture is just as good as he looks."
