Wallace Nutting illustrated this picture on page 43 of his 1912 Picture Sales catalog and on page 17 of his 1915 Expansible Sales catalog. A reverse negative of this picture is illustrated on page 15 of his 1923 book, 'New Hampshire Beautiful' (page 17 of the 1935 second edition), with the modified title, 'Birch Hill Top'.

With the Connecticut River in the background, Wallace Nutting described this scene as ".....a most magnificent cluster of birches, perhaps the most beautiful we have ever found....".
