A Birch Grove - Studio # 370

With the Connecticut River in the background, Wallace Nutting described this scene as ".....a most magnificent cluster of birches, perhaps the most beautiful we have ever found...."".

This picture is illustrated on page 45 of Nutting's 1912 Picture Sales catalog and on page 15 of his 1915 Expansible Catalog. A reverse negative of this scene titled "Birch Hill Top" was used as an illustration in his book New Hampshire Beautiful, on page 15 of the first edition and on page 21 of the second edition.
