Made in Vermont Wallace Nutting advertised this picture in his 1912 Picture Catalog on page 40 and in his 1915 Expansible Picture Catalog on page 484. He also illustrated it in his book, 'Vermont Beautiful' on page 140 of the first edition and on page 126 of the second edition.

The models in this picture are the Hoyt sisters who, in addition to modeling for Nutting worked for John Phillip Sousa, (1854-1932).
