The small item down the road is actually a stage coach. Wallace Nutting illustrated this picture on page 74 of his 1912 Picture Sales catalog and on page 406 of his 1915 Expansible catalog. He also illustrated a cropped version of this picture on page 241 of his 1935 book, "Connecticut Beautiful, second edition" with the title, "A Wallingford Homestead". The copyright is 1905.
