Made on Nantucket, MA. Wallace Nutting advertised this picture for sale in his 1912 picture catalog on pg 37 and in his 1915 Expansible catalog on pg 486. He also illustrated this picture in "Massachusetts Beautiful" on pg 43 of the first edition and on pg 38 of the second edition.
About this picture Wallace Nutting wrote: "In “Morning Duties” we have a Nantucket parlor. It is chaste and simple, but no less effective. The poke bonnet has a beautiful flare so as just properly to set off, without hiding, a face except in this special instance."
