A scene from inside Wallace Nutting's Southbury, Connecticut home, 'Nuttinghame'

This particular mat with the picture in a plate mark closer to the top was probably designed to be a calendar with the month pages attached below the picture.

Wallace Nutting illustrated this picture in his 1912 Picture Catalog on page 33 and in his 1915 Expansible Picture Catalogs on page 484

At least two other pictures were taken in front of this fireplace. They are Laying the Fire, #17 and "A Chimney Nook", which is illustrated on page 52 of Connecticut Beautiful, (second edition).
