Colonial All-Turned Stand - # 653

"Decidedly early in its design and sturdiness of construction, this Colonial All-Turned Stand is a very attractive and useful household furnishing. As built at the Wallace Nutting Studios it is a most worthy piece of craftsmanship and an excellent appointment for the assembling of Colonial interiors. The upper portion of the frame is carved in bracket form and the legs are raked, thus adding grace to stability. Stretcher and leg turnings are gracefully rounded and are pleasingly harmonious in design and spacing. The period is 1680 - 1700. The brackets are cut from the same piece as the frame, and are a good stylistic feature."

Size: Top, round, diameter 21 inch; height, 24 1/2 inch.
Material: Pine top; Maple or Birch turnings.
