Large Pennsylvania Comb-Back Chair - # 412

"One of the earliest of Windsors, this large Pennsylvania Comb-back originated in Philadelphia between 1700 and 1725. A fine, stately chair comfortably designed and useful in living room or hallway. The graceful turnings of its shapely stretchers strongly suggest the Jacobean and Queen Anne influence. In pleasing harmony the front spindles relate themselves to the leg turnings and assist in supporting the curved arms, which have a flat scroll on the outside. Reproduced by the Wallace Nutting Studio it is according to the original in every way. It is the largest of Windsor Chairs."

Size: Seat, 25 x 18 in.; height, 48 in. All Windsor Chairs are 18 in. in front and 17 1/2 in. behind.
Material: Country Pine seat; Hickory Bows and arm rails; Maple or Birch turnings.
