In April, 1904 Wallace Nutting was one of eight-hundred delegates from North America to attend the fourth World Sunday School Convention in Jerusalem. The North American delegates boarded a cruise ship in New York and journeyed together to Jerusalem by way of the Mediterranean. The Central Committee of the North American delegation suggested a book be published detailing the journey. The book, titled "The Cruise Of The Eight Hundred" was published 1905 and contains 280 photographs of the land as they saw it, seventeen of which were contributed by Wallace Nutting. Note that the design on the top of the cover -men riding camels- is actually taken from Wallace Nutting's photograph, "A Typical Desert Scene" page 147.
Following are the seventeen Wallace Nutting photographs illustrated in "The Cruise Of The Eight Hundred." Some of the photographs illustrated were marketed in small numbers by the Nutting Art Studio. Those that I have been able to confirm are identified with the title and studio number. The marketed titles I post here is by no means to be considered absolute. The Nutting Art Studio was known for modifying titles so it's possible some of these photographs may be found with titles slightly different than I list here.
